You can use any of the following online booking websites to check availability of hotels and prices. It is also worth checking the hotels own websites but invariably the bulk bookers offer better deals on advance bookings.
Unlike other booking websites Agoda sells capacity so the prices can vary wildly. You need to keep checking back frequently or watch out for the Flash Deals to get the absolutely best prices. It also has a Loyalty Points scheme which makes it the best booking agent for frequent travellers. Agoda has over 500,000 hotels worldwide, not just in Asia.
Booking.com is owned by the same company that owns Agoda. There are two main differences. Firstly they sell flat rates – this means the rate you see is the rate they will show every day so there are no flash deals etc. At best the price is usually the same as on Agoda but can be considerably higher than the “special deals” you can find on their sister website. Secondly you pay the hotel on departure not in advance. This allows some degree of flexibility but can leave you subject to changing prices and exchange rate fluctuations. It also means your booking is not 100% confirmed. If you wish to enbsure your booking is 100% confirmed from the start then use the Agoda option.
Hotels Combined compares all the main booking websites to find the best online deal around.
